Emily's Word Collection

Page history last edited by PBworks 13 years, 7 months ago

I chose gastronomy, because it is very long and interesting.  It means the art or science of good eating.

I chose piquant, because it is very different sounding.  It means an agreeably sharp or pungent taste or flavor.

I chose clasp, on page six in Keeping Corner, because I like the sound of all the letters together.  In the book Leela's Ba says, "Don't play with the clasp.  If it gets loose you'll be sorry."

I chose steep, because in the summer my family and I hike up a pretty steep mountain called Kane Mountain (the name is partly why I like climbing it) in the Adirondacks.  I have to hold onto trees so I don't fall down.

Words That Are Not For School

I chose gaze, because I like words with z's and g's.

I chose recalcitrant, because I like the way it sounds, and Daddy calls me recalcitrant sometimes.

I chose lush because I like words with l's, s's, and h's.
